VFive Games opened the first-anniversary event for Legend of Mir 2: Red Knight this Friday (23). Through October 29, the Korean mobile MMORPG offers a 30% increase in item drop rate, daily login rewards, a high-tier special title, a Legendary Card Coupon, and two limited-edition cosmetics: the Yuyeongho mount and the Envoy of Darkness costume. The celebration arrives a week before the date that marks one year since launch, October 29, 2025, and comes with Halloween-themed content and perks on the VFG platform page.

The announcement came from the publisher itself, which built the campaign to thank players for their support over the first year of service. The approach follows the Asian live-service playbook: concentrate the largest volume of rewards into a short window, encourage lapsed players to return, and give veterans an extra reason to stay logged in during the week.

Seven days of bonuses, drops and attendance

The change with the biggest impact on players' routine is the 30% item drop rate bonus, valid for the entire event period. In a progression system built on farming, the boost applies to creatures defeated in the field and can speed up the acquisition of gear, enhancement materials and consumables — exactly the kind of resource that sets the pace of a character's growth.

The event also leans on attendance rewards. Players simply need to log in between October 23 and 29 to receive the daily prizes defined by the company. They include a first-anniversary special title with high-tier attributes and the Legendary Card Coupon, an item tied to the game's card system and often one of the bottlenecks for characters in later stages.

For genre veterans, the structure is familiar. The difference is the volume: VFive bundled a farming bonus, a login reward, a progression item and cosmetics into the same package. It is a way to narrow the gap between players who log in every day and those who drop by occasionally, at least for the week of the celebration.

Yuyeongho and Envoy of Darkness: the items that stay

Beyond progression rewards, the anniversary marks the debut of two limited-edition cosmetic items. The Yuyeongho mount and the Envoy of Darkness costume let players customize their character's look and were announced as part of the one-year celebration, with no confirmation they will return in future events.

In games with item economies and strong visual appeal, limited cosmetics work as time markers: players who took part in the first year wear an item that will not be available to newcomers. It is a retention tool and, at the same time, a way of building shared memory inside the server — particularly important in a game that leans on guild pride and territorial disputes.

Halloween and perks outside the game

The anniversary does not end with the login calendar. VFive confirmed that October also gets a special Halloween event, with themed content and a different atmosphere from the usual. The company did not detail which modes or rewards are part of the Halloween push, but said players will have new themed content to explore throughout the month.

“The company prepared the event to thank players for their support over the first year, with in-game rewards and limited items.”

Outside the game client, the VFG platform page gathers additional benefits tied to the date. VFive keeps its community hub there, with access to events, coupons and service information. Players should follow both the official website and the official community, because part of the rewards usually has to be claimed outside the game.

What is Legend of Mir 2: Red Knight?

Legend of Mir 2: Red Knight is a mobile MMORPG with an Eastern fantasy setting based on the Legend of Mir intellectual property owned by Actoz Soft. The game launched on October 29, 2025, and occupies a nostalgic space: it revives the aesthetics and progression logic of the PC MMORPGs that popularized the genre in Korea in the 2000s, adapted for phone-sized sessions.

Its structure includes open-field PvP, clan content, the fight for Sabuk Castle, personal shops and player-to-player auctions. In practice, it is a model that mixes individual progression, guild politics and an economy driven by the community itself. The first anniversary is the first major longevity test for that arrangement: a game of this kind must keep veterans active while attracting newcomers so the base does not age out.

The market moment helps explain the bet. Other Korean titles from the same family of IPs are heating up: MIR4 marks seasonal dates with reward events, and Legend of Ymir is preparing for its global debut. In such a crowded calendar, Red Knight's anniversary serves as a reminder that the Mir franchise remains active — including outside Wemade.

How to join the event

The event targets the Korean server, the language in which the game currently operates. There is no official information about a Portuguese version or about the title joining a Western catalog. For those who play or follow the server, the path is to log in between October 23 and 29 and claim the daily rewards.

Official details are available on the VFive Games website and in the game's official community. The app is available on Google Play.

One year on, the retention stress test

Anniversary events are, above all, thermometers. They show what a developer considers essential to hold on to players: in Red Knight's case, the answer is accelerated progression, guaranteed rewards and visual status. There is no major story expansion or new continent in the announcement; there is a benefits package designed to move the existing base.

That is a choice consistent with the game's scale and the audience it targets. The open question is how much of that push turns into retention after October 29. Halloween, coming right after, helps stretch the momentum for a few more weeks. But a MMORPG's second year is rarely won with a single event: it is won with the frequency and quality of what comes next.

For Brazilian players, Red Knight's anniversary is less a chance to claim rewards and more a portrait of how the Korean mobile MMORPG market remains organized around seasonal calendars, dedicated communities and franchises more than two decades old. Anyone following the genre through our games coverage already knows the script — and knows the next season starts before the current one ends.
