Raven 2 launches Halloween dungeon with rewards until 11/11

Netmarble adds the “Pumpkin Ghost’s Candy Village” dungeon to Raven 2, with event currency, a 14-day check-in and themed rewards through November 11.

Netmarble opened the Halloween event dungeon “Pumpkin Ghost’s Candy Village” in its MMORPG Raven 2 on October 21, with a limited run through November 11 on mobile and PC. The update combines event currency, a 14-day check-in calendar, seven-day missions and a broader progression patch that adds Guild Dungeon Stage 6 and class balance changes.
The move is the latest seasonal push from the South Korean publisher. Raven 2 launched in May 2024 as the official sequel to the action RPG Raven and is set in a universe where gods and demons coexist. Its predecessor won six awards, including the Grand Prize at the 2015 Korea Game Awards, and surpassed 1 million daily active users just 40 days after launch — a measure of the franchise’s weight in the Korean market.
What Pumpkin Ghost’s Candy Village is
The event dungeon is a temporary combat and collection instance. The loop is straightforward: players enter the festive area, defeat enemies and accumulate the seasonal currency Pumpkin Shards, along with equipment and consumables. Everything is tied to the event window, which creates a clear deadline for anyone hoping to improve a character without relying only on permanent content.
The formula is common in Asian MMORPGs. Instead of shipping a full expansion in the middle of a quarter, the studio inserts a limited activity that rewards daily engagement. Players have to return regularly, and the final reward is calibrated to feel valuable enough to justify the routine. In Raven 2’s case, the difference lies in the sheer volume of progression items packed into a single event.
The dungeon rewards
According to the announcement reported by Inven Global, Candy Village offers four main reward categories. Two are equipment and enhancement material; the other two work as currency and a temporary buff.
| Reward | How to get it | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Pumpkin Shards | Dungeon, check-in and missions | Event shop currency |
| Pumpkinus’s Earring | Dungeon and 14-day check-in | Rare event equipment |
| Pumpkinus Enhancement Stone | Dungeon | Enhances the rare earring |
| Sweet Festival Candy | Dungeon | Temporary stat boost |
The earring is the headline item. Because it is rare-grade and comes with its own enhancement stone, it should appeal to newcomers and veterans alike, particularly those looking to fill secondary equipment slots. The festival candy is a situational boost, useful for tackling harder content during the event window.
14-day check-in and seven-day missions
Beyond the dungeon, Netmarble built two layers of participation. The first is a 14-day check-in: players who log in daily and claim the reward receive Pumpkinus’s Earring, a [Trixie] 1-Time Familiar Summon Ticket and 1,000 Pumpkin Shards. The second is the Candy Village 7-Day Missions track, where a new task unlocks each day; completing all of them grants another 5,000 Pumpkin Shards.
In practice, the design pushes players into two overlapping cycles. Check-in rewards presence, even minimal presence; missions reward execution. Anyone who only logs in misses most of the currency. Anyone who does the missions but misses a day may fail to close the sequence. It is a retention model the industry has tested for years, and it is especially effective in games with weekly updates.
“Celebrating the Candy Village festival, a sweet and special reward gift!”
The event shop and the value of Pumpkin Shards
Pumpkin Shards can be exchanged at the event shop for three highlighted items: Heroic Heavestone Abrasive, a [Peiga] 1-Time Familiar Summon Ticket and a Special Task Force Heroic Stella Summon Selection Box. The names are technical, but the logic is accessible: a high-tier enhancement material, a familiar summon and a Stella summon selection box.
For mid-game players, the selection box is often the most efficient prize because it lets them choose the character or summon missing from a composition. The abrasive serves those at the end of the equipment curve who need rare materials to level up. The single summon ticket is the lowest-impact option, though still relevant for newer accounts.
The event economy is therefore not purely cosmetic. It touches three progression fronts — equipment, summoning and enhancement — and forces players to decide where to spend a limited currency. That planned scarcity is what turns a Halloween event into a real extension of the progression loop.
Guild Dungeon Stage 6 and class balance
The update is not only about Halloween. Netmarble also added Guild Dungeon Stage 6, raising the ceiling of cooperative content for guilds that have already cleared the earlier floors. Alongside the new stage came class balance adjustments and improvements to character progression and quality-of-life features.
This kind of patch usually has a longer shelf life than a seasonal event. Stage 6 gives guilds a new goal and reactivates internal organization — rosters, schedules, group composition. Class changes, in turn, can shift build priorities and reopen debates about the meta. For the more hardcore segment of the community, that is the most important part of the October 21 update.
Raven 2 in the MMO Halloween calendar
Raven 2’s event does not happen in isolation. Netmarble itself has other operations active in the period, including RF Online Next and Solo Leveling: ARISE, while the October calendar also features direct competitors such as Genesis War: Mobile, which added Halloween events through November 3, and Duet Night Abyss with its 1.7 update.
For international readers, the relevance lies in the size of the mobile MMORPG market and the growing presence of Korean titles with PC support. Raven 2 is playable on phones and computers, and the publisher maintains an official site with universe, class and world information. Language barriers remain, but events like this help gauge appetite for seasonal content outside Korea.
What to watch before November 11
The event window is short: anyone who wants the rare earring and enough currency for the summon box needs to start now. The practical advice is to prioritize the daily check-in, fit the seven-day missions into the routine and only spend Pumpkin Shards after deciding which item unlocks the next step of a build. Waiting until the final week risks missing the reward sequence.
After November 11, attention turns to the impact of Guild Dungeon Stage 6 and the effects of class changes on the meta. Netmarble did not detail whether new stages or events will follow before the end of the year. What is confirmed is the current package: a themed dungeon, two participation tracks and a shop with progression items — enough to keep the Raven 2 base occupied for the next three weeks.
