A tiny hunter, a bow, and more than a thousand ways to get yourself killed. That is the pitch of Little Prince Tyger, a new dark-fantasy action game announced by Team17 and French studio Saltitude Games for PC in 2027.

The twist is in the size of the challenges: each level fits on a single screen, but combat blends precision and physics to create situations where the scenery can be as dangerous as the enemies. According to Inven Global, the announcement was published on October 8, 2026.

A queen's order and a hunt with no return

The mission is to find Galaad, the queen's missing son. The official Steam description says other hunters have already set out on this search, but none came back.

The name references William Blake's poem The Tyger. In the game, the journey passes through memories of past hunts and encounters with characters trying to survive in this hostile world.

The environment joins the fight too

Saltitude promises more than a thousand hand-built levels. Liquids, fire and gas clouds are part of the simulation, and can help or hinder the player. Hitting certain spots on enemies can trigger explosions, release acid or even grant healing.

Runs also gain variety with upgrades that alter attributes, manipulate fluids or slow down time. Beyond the bow, the announcement mentions weapons such as boomerangs, throwing knives and traps.

When does Little Prince Tyger arrive?

Launch is planned for 2027, on PC via Steam, with no set day yet. The store already lets you add the game to your wishlist.

For roguelike fans, the curiosity lies in this blend of small spaces and systems that react to each other: landing the arrow is not enough; you also need to understand what happens around the target.
