Phantom Blade Zero: claim Deluxe bonuses
Published on · Updated on
Finish the prologue, open the Character menu and equip pre-order and Digital Deluxe bonuses; learn what unlocks early and what you can earn by playing.

If you started Phantom Blade Zero and cannot find the bonuses tied to your purchase, you do not need to hunt for an external code: the main route runs through the Character menu, which becomes available after the prologue. From there, a pre-ordered Standard Edition grants early access to the Treasure Basin accessory and Legacy outfit; the Digital Deluxe Edition also includes Wulin Legend, Blood-Steel Form, a digital artbook and a soundtrack. Developer S-GAME says the two pre-order bonuses can also be earned through normal progression, so pre-ordering brings them forward rather than making them permanently exclusive.
This guide combines information confirmed on the official Phantom Blade Zero website, the Steam listing and launch guides from Playnews and Sportskeeda. Because delivery can vary between PC and PS5, the steps separate purchase entitlements from the in-game route.
When the rewards menu becomes available
First, finish the prologue. The opening includes a cart chase; afterward, Soul wakes in Weeping Creek Valley, the starting region, and the game gives you control and access to its menus. Open the map and select the Character tab. This is where the protagonist’s equippable items and appearances are organized.
Guides place the menu unlock right after the prologue, without requiring a long mission before you can check your inventory. If the option is not available during the opening sequence, finish the introductory section, let the next scene load, and open the map again. Tutorial progression can affect when the menu first appears, but there is no need to repeat a purchase just to make the bonus show up.
On the Steam PC version, there is also a bonus confirmation screen the first time the game launches, after shader compilation. According to AllThingsHow, confirm the notice when it appears; no code has to be entered. That instruction was observed for the Steam version and should not be treated as a universal step for every store or PS5. Even after confirming it, check the Character menu to locate and equip each item.
How to equip Treasure Basin and the outfits
In Character, look for the accessory slots near the bottom of the screen. Select Treasure Basin to equip it. The official store description says the item increases the amount of Remnant Dust earned by 10%. Since this currency is used for upgrades and purchases, the bonus can help build resources over a campaign; it does not increase weapon damage or replace a combat skill.
To change Soul’s appearance, stay in the same tab and switch the category to Appearance. Choose Legacy, Wulin Legend or Blood-Steel Form, depending on the entitlements linked to your account. The menu also lets you show or hide the headwear associated with an outfit, according to Playnews. These are cosmetic pieces: changing clothes does not improve stats, change difficulty or unlock a dedicated story mission.
Check which edition is linked to the account you use on console or PC. Pre-ordering either edition includes early access to Treasure Basin and Legacy. Digital Deluxe adds Wulin Legend and Blood-Steel Form, plus a digital artbook and soundtrack. The Steam listing and the official game page describe the editions; prices and availability may vary by region and store.
What to do if you did not pre-order
The official notice is clear: Treasure Basin and Legacy can also be obtained through in-game progression. For the accessory, Playnews’ launch guide points to a golden chest on the island of White Snake House in the Meigu Lake region. The area appears during a quest; open the chest and then equip the item through the accessory slots in Character. The name may be translated differently in a localized interface, so look for the chest and confirm the description mentioning increased Remnant Dust.
The detailed route may include mild exploration spoilers, but it does not require another purchase. The key distinction is that an “early unlock” is not content that becomes impossible to earn later: S-GAME itself says pre-order rewards can be acquired by playing. The official page does not give a deadline or recommended level for the chest; progress through the quests until the route to Meigu Lake opens, then explore the island.
For Legacy, the official page confirms an in-game progression unlock but does not list the exact mission or requirement there. Launch guides associate the appearance with a specific campaign completion condition. Since reports can differ by version and launch-day details are still being discussed, do not spend resources or buy an add-on on the assumption that the outfit is unavailable without a pre-order. Check Appearance first and watch for reward notices as the story advances.
What Digital Deluxe adds
Digital Deluxe includes the full game and two additional looks: Wulin Legend and Blood-Steel Form. It also includes a digital artbook and soundtrack. The outfits are selected from Character under Appearance after the edition-linked content appears on the account. The artbook and OST are digital extras from the store, not accessories equipped on Soul. How those files are downloaded can depend on the system and store used for the purchase.
The Deluxe Edition also includes the pre-order bonuses when it is purchased ahead of release. The package can therefore bring together four listed appearances or accessories—Treasure Basin, Legacy, Wulin Legend and Blood-Steel Form—along with the digital extras. The official description does not list early access to the game or a dedicated story mission as part of the package. If a regional store page differs, use the receipt and the product listing for your platform as the final reference.
If an expected item is missing, first check the account that made the purchase and the edition shown in your library. Close and reopen the game after confirming the installation; on console, also check the product page’s add-on content and the platform’s restore-licenses option. On PC, see whether the store marks the extra as installed or attached to the account. These steps do not replace platform support, but they can help distinguish a sync problem from a reward that has not yet been unlocked through the story.
Quick summary of the bonuses and route
- Treasure Basin: accessory that increases Remnant Dust earned by 10%; equip it in Character’s accessory slots.
- Legacy: early pre-order outfit that S-GAME says is also obtainable through progression.
- Wulin Legend and Blood-Steel Form: appearances included with Digital Deluxe.
- Artbook and soundtrack: Digital Deluxe downloads separate from the character inventory.
- Menu: finish the prologue, open the map, go to Character, then choose accessories or Appearance.
- No pre-order: Treasure Basin can be found in a golden chest on White Snake House island in Meigu Lake.
“The above content can also be obtained through in-game progression.”
In short, finish the prologue and check Character before searching for a long quest or trying to redeem a code. Pre-ordering brings forward two items, while Digital Deluxe adds its own appearances and digital materials. Players who bought after launch can find Treasure Basin during the campaign and continue progressing to unlock Legacy. Check your store receipt before contacting platform support.
