Toei Games, the video game division of legendary Japanese producer Toei Company, will make its first appearance at a game show outside Japan during the Busan Indie Connect Festival 2026 (BIC 2026). The event takes place from August 14 to 16 in the city of Busan, South Korea. The company will offer playable demos of three titles at its booth: KILLA, DEBUG NEPHEMEE and HINO.

Global expansion strategy and BIC 2026 debut

The presence at the South Korean event marks the start of a new phase for the studio's interactive arm. Fumio Yoshimura, president and CEO of Toei Company, confirmed the international debut as a decisive step to strengthen the brand in the global video game market.

BIC ranks as the largest festival focused on the indie ecosystem in all of Asia. In 2026, the organization adopted the slogan “Buff Your Indie Spirit”, symbolizing the union between the creativity of independent developers and the engagement of the player community. Toei Games seeks to connect with international fans, local press and industry partners to boost its new franchises.

The three games playable at the booth

The main highlight of the booth is KILLA, a title developed by an independent South Korean team of just four members. Festival visitors will test the project's latest version directly at the show.
