KRAFTON, Inc., publisher of PUBG: Battlegrounds, revealed this Friday (25th) a new and highly anticipated live-action trailer for Dinkum, a Nintendo Switch game. The video, which arrives to build excitement ahead of the global launch on November 6, focuses on the game's “cozy” experience, showing how activities such as fishing, building and exploration adapt to the hybrid console. The title, an indie phenomenon created by solo developer James Bendon, already has a free demo available on the eShop.

What does the new Dinkum trailer reveal?

The newly released live-action trailer (watch above) creatively depicts a person in the real world experiencing small daily adventures with their Nintendo Switch. The scenes directly reflect the game's main activities:

Fishing;
Furniture crafting;
Driving vehicles (such as a motorbike);
Cooking.

According to KRAFTON, the goal of the video is to convey the game's “warm vibe” and laid-back fun, reinforcing the message that players can relax and decorate “their own island” anytime, anywhere with the Switch.

Dinkum on Nintendo Switch: Demo, Bonus and Launch

The Dinkum for Nintendo Switch port was originally revealed during the September Nintendo Direct, drawing a strongly positive reaction from fans awaiting the title's arrival on the console. Dinkum became a massive success on PC (Steam) by blending elements of Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley with a unique setting inspired by the Australian outback.

To celebrate the upcoming release, players can already download a free demo of Dinkum directly from the Nintendo eShop. In addition, anyone who pre-orders the game will receive a 10% discount off the final price and an exclusive outfit set (Battlegrounds exclusive costume set).

Alongside the trailer, KRAFTON announced a comments event on the official Dinkum YouTube channel. Fans who watch the new video and leave their impressions in the comments will be entered to win prizes. Dinkum is scheduled for global release on Nintendo Switch on November 6, 2025.
