The SteelBook Blu-ray sets for Sailor Moon R and Sailor Moon S have new UK release dates after a delay of roughly two months. The Sailor Moon R collection, identified as Season 2, is now scheduled for November 30, 2026, while Sailor Moon S (Season 3) is due on December 21. Their previous dates were September 28 and October 26, respectively, according to UK retailer listings cited by specialist outlets.

CBR reported the update on October 28 as Crunchyroll’s physical-release schedule shifted again. The key change for collectors is that the next two seasons remain on the calendar, but arrive later than first planned. Season 1, which was also delayed, reached UK shops on October 26. These dates refer to the licensed home-video editions in the United Kingdom, not a new streaming premiere.

What are the new Sailor Moon R and S dates?

The revised schedule lists the SteelBook Blu-ray of Sailor Moon R for November 30, 2026. The next collection, Sailor Moon S, is scheduled for December 21. The earlier plan had put Season 2 on September 28 and Season 3 on October 26, leaving both sets about two months behind their original windows.

Retail listings support the revised dates. HMV currently gives November 30 for Sailor Moon R, while the November–December schedule published by Anime UK News and Get Your Comic On places Sailor Moon S on December 21. Release calendars can change, so buyers should check the retailer’s product page before placing a preorder or arranging an import.

What is included in the SteelBooks?

The sets are part of Crunchyroll’s UK Blu-ray rollout of the classic series, with one collection planned for each season. CBR reports that each edition contains five discs with uncut episodes and both English-dubbed and Japanese-audio options. The listed extras include trailers, textless opening and ending sequences, and a holographic art card made for each season.

The UK product listing for Sailor Moon R identifies the Blu-ray as Region B. That is useful for collectors outside the region: playback can depend on whether a player supports Region B discs or is region-free. Check the specifications of the specific product and your Blu-ray player before importing. Packaging can also carry UK age ratings and distribution information that differ from editions sold in other territories.

“The long-awaited SteelBook Blu-ray sets for Sailor Moon R and Sailor Moon S have received new release dates following a two-month delay,” CBR wrote in its report.

The artwork shown here is the SteelBook cover for Sailor Moon R, supplied by a UK specialist retailer. It identifies the Season 2 collection, but it is not the packaging for Sailor Moon S; that release has its own product artwork and edition details.

How does the delay affect the full collection?

The UK physical rollout began with Season 1, whose delayed SteelBook arrived on October 26, 2026. The schedule then moves to Sailor Moon R at the end of November and Sailor Moon S in the third week of December. CBR says later seasons have also shifted into 2027, based on current UK retailer listings.

In that updated calendar, Sailor Moon SuperS is listed for January 25, 2027, followed by Sailor Stars on February 22. Those later dates also remain subject to change, so they should be treated as the retailers’ current schedule rather than a guarantee that the entire collection will arrive without further adjustments. Each season is being sold on its own timetable.

For preorder customers, a listed release date is not always the same as a dispatch or delivery date. Some shops charge when an order is placed, while others take payment or ship near release. Buyers should read each seller’s terms and confirm whether the date refers to release, dispatch, or estimated arrival. The updated calendar does not state why the sets were delayed and does not rule out another change.

What should international collectors know?

The dates apply to the UK release, not to a Brazilian edition announced by Crunchyroll. Fans importing the SteelBooks should factor in shipping, possible taxes, delivery time, and Blu-ray region compatibility. The metal case is a collectible format, but buying a physical disc does not change where the series is available to stream.

It is also worth checking the season number before ordering. Sailor Moon R is the second season of the original anime, and Sailor Moon S is the third. The subtitles and season branding can be easy to mix up when stores display multiple sets together, so confirm the title on the box, disc count, and extras shown on the product listing. Edition contents can vary by territory even when the same distributor handles the releases.
