Team enthusiasm sets the tone at the Otakon 2026 panel
The production team's energy swept up the fans gathered at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Goshi Yoshida, a Yomiuri TV producer overseeing the adaptation, made a triumphant entrance that set the tone for the presentation.
The team screened a special promotional video prepared exclusively for the event audience. The footage highlighted the dedication of producers Keita Yoshinobu and Goshi Yoshida to keeping a healthy production schedule without compromising the visual quality of the work created by Miya Kazuki.
Move to WIT Studio raises the visual bar
The franchise's third part marks a historic turning point in production, with animation moving from Ajia-do studio to WIT Studio. The new studio, world-renowned for major Japanese productions, took on the challenge under director Yoshiaki Iwasaki, with character design by Aiko Minowa.
The studio change reflects the expansion of the narrative itself. From this arc on, the protagonist leaves behind her lower-city routine and takes on the identity of Rozemyne, the adopted daughter of an archduke, demanding superior technical refinement in portraying nobility and magical battles.
Rozemyne's journey and noble intrigue
The story follows the reincarnation of Urano Motosu as Myne, a frail girl in a medieval world where books are luxury goods restricted to the elite. Driven by a visceral love of reading, the young girl revolutionizes paper production and draws the aristocracy's attention with her enormous magical power.
