Rockstar Games caught the industry by surprise by announcing the official broadcast of Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look, an in-depth preview with extended gameplay footage from one of the most anticipated titles of all time. The showcase event will take place this Thursday, August 27, 2026, through a distribution window split between Netflix and YouTube.

Whether you want to catch every reveal firsthand or prefer to wait for the free broadcast, check out the complete guide below with all platforms, times adjusted for Brazil, and what to expect from the presentation.

How the Broadcast Window Works (Netflix vs. YouTube)

The strategy adopted by Rockstar in partnership with Netflix introduces an unprecedented format for promoting major video game releases:

1. Exclusive Early Premiere on Netflix

The first showing of Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look will take place exclusively in the Netflix streaming service catalog. To watch this early screening, you need an active platform subscription. The event's dedicated page is already available in the Netflix app, allowing users to add the title to their personal list to receive instant notifications at premiere time.

2. Free Release on YouTube and Social Media

For players who do not have a Netflix subscription, Rockstar Games has confirmed that all of the extended preview content will be published for free on its official YouTube channel and other social networks exactly 6 hours after the Netflix launch.
