Simpsons in Fortnite: Leak reveals new map and skins

Massive leak suggests the Simpsons Fortnite collab is real. Details on the possible Springfield map coming next season.
A massive new leak shook the Fortnite community this Tuesday (21). According to renowned leaker HypeX, known for his high accuracy rate on the battle royale, Epic Games is preparing a full Simpsons Fortnite collaboration for next season. The highlight of the rumor is the alleged inclusion of a detailed Springfield map, rendered in the series' iconic animation style, drastically changing the game's visual aesthetic.
What to expect from the Simpsons Fortnite collaboration?
According to information released by HypeX, the partnership could go far beyond character skins like Homer, Marge or Bart. The leak points to a significant overhaul of the island, bringing the city of Springfield into the Fortnite universe. The expectation is that classic locations, such as Moe's Tavern, the Nuclear Power Plant and the Simpson family home, will become Points of Interest (POIs) contested by players.
The biggest technical novelty, if the rumor is confirmed, would be the adoption of the characteristic cel-shading art style of the animation, similar to what the game already did in previous partnerships, such as Dragon Ball. This means that the entire island, or at least a large area of it, would adopt the stylized 2D look of the cartoon, changing the game's visual aesthetic during the season.
HypeX and the credibility of the leak
The news gained immediate traction in the community, mainly due to the credibility of the source. HypeX has a robust track record, having correctly anticipated major events, mechanics and collaborations in past Fortnite seasons. Although Epic Games remains silent and has not officially confirmed the partnership, the leaker's reputation gives considerable weight to the information.
Community reaction and crossover history
The possibility of a Simpsons Fortnite event generated mixed reactions. While most players celebrate the arrival of one of pop culture's most famous families to the Fortnite metaverse, part of the community recalls old requests, such as a remake of the classic The Simpsons: Hit & Run. If confirmed, this collaboration will join a heavyweight portfolio from Epic Games, which has already included entertainment giants like Marvel, Star Wars, Disney and several other game and anime franchises.
