The most explosive Prinnies in tactical RPG history now have a playground of their own. NIS America released this Wednesday, September 10, the playable demo for Prinny Party: Going Overboard! (known in Japan as Minna de Poitto! Prinny Sugoroku), the board party game for up to 4 players that brings the insanity of the Disgaea universe to group play.
The demo is available simultaneously for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC (via Steam) — the full game is scheduled for release on November 11, 2026.
What Is Prinny Party: Going Overboard?
Imagine a giant board packed with traps, buildings and bosses from the Disgaea universe, where up to four players advance square by square competing (and cooperating) to defeat monsters, build facilities, earn experience and equip items — but with one cruel twist that makes all the difference: only whoever lands the final blow on the boss gets the credit.
This legalized “kill steal” mechanic turns cooperation into a dance of calculated betrayals, keeping the chaotic vibe Disgaea fans have known and loved since 2003.
What the Demo Offers
- Sweet Mode: A compact version of the main game, ideal for learning the board, combat and building mechanics without pressure
- Super-Spicy Mode (Demo Exclusive): A special challenge with limited tools and a restricted character selection — perfect for veterans who want to test their tactical mastery right now
Sanctuary Tip: Super-Spicy mode is demo-exclusive and will not be in the final version. If you want to brag about beating the spiciest challenge, download it now.
Context: The Year of the Prinnies
Prinny Party is part of NIS America’s aggressive 2026 calendar, which also includes the action RPG Disgaea Mayhem, released in the summer. The company has invested heavily in expanding the Disgaea franchise beyond traditional tactical RPGs, reaching audiences who prefer more relaxed, social experiences.
