Manga creator Jun Kirarazaka confirmed that the comedy series Blobtopia will conclude in three chapters on Shonen Jump+. Check out the release schedule.
The post-apocalyptic comedy of heroes and slime monsters is reaching its finish line. Manga creator Jun Kirarazaka announced on his official X account that his comedy manga Blobtopia (known in Japan as Buyotopia) will conclude in three chapters on Shueisha's digital platform Shonen Jump+. The release scheduled for November 6 will be a special side-story chapter.
Debuting on March 13, 2026, the series put a lighthearted spin on traditional fantasy tropes. Instead of glory, the story follows Beyond, a disgraced former hero who failed to defeat the Demon King and ended up accidentally covering the entire world in strange creatures called "blobs." Crushed by remorse, he went into self-imposed exile for years until unexpected circumstances forced him back into public life.
Short Run on Shonen Jump+
Despite its humorous hero-versus-society premise, the manga is wrapping up after a concise run on Shueisha's service. Shueisha published the second compiled book volume on September 4, 2026, and the upcoming finale will likely wrap the entire adventure into a compact volume count.
Global readers have been following the series through Shueisha's official MANGA Plus service, which releases English chapters concurrently with Japanese digital drops.
Kirarazaka's Serialization Track Record
This quick conclusion continues a familiar pattern for Kirarazaka across Shueisha magazines. The author originally debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump with Bone Collection, running from April to August 2020. In May 2023, he launched the boxing series Do Retry, which wrapped in September of the same year.
With Blobtopia, the creator wraps up another unique narrative arc under a year of publication, as reported by Anime News Network following the author's announcement.
