Our formal standards for errata, transparency, and corrections at O Santuário Geek.
1. Our Errata and Correction Standards
At O Santuário Geek, the pursuit of accuracy never stops, but mistakes can happen. When we spot a factual error in any article or report, our ethical commitment is to fix it swiftly and with full clarity for our readers. We do not make silent changes to substantive information.
2. How We Classify Updates
To protect the integrity of the journalistic record, we distinguish three types of changes:
- Correction / Erratum: For factual errors (wrong data, wrong names, distorted quotes, or wrong dates). The story is fixed and an Erratum note is added with the date and time explaining what was corrected.
- Context Update: When new events occur after the original publication. The information is added to the text and the updated on field reflects the recent date.
- Minor Typographical Fixes: Strictly spelling or grammar fixes that do not change the factual meaning are made directly to improve readability.
3. How to Report an Error
Reader collaboration is essential to improving our coverage. If you find any factual error, wrong date, or outdated data in our stories:
- Reach our direct channel via the Contact Page.
- Share the story link and detail the point needing correction, preferably with supporting primary sources.
- Our editorial team will review the request within 24 business hours and, if the error is confirmed, the correction will be made immediately.
4. Policy Against Silent Content Removal
O Santuário Geek does not delete published articles because of outside pressure or convenience. If a story needs a full revision due to new evidence, it will be duly annotated, contextualized, and corrected, preserving public transparency of the editorial record.
This Corrections Policy follows international E-E-A-T and ethical journalism standards and was updated in September 2026.
